How many lawmakers make their own trades? Do the trades reported count trades by the spouse of a lawmaker?

I seem to remember HN discussions on stock trading platforms where you can make portfolios that mirror the holdings of key US lawmakers.<p>Is that a thing?<p>Really I’m asking what’s the easiest way to tag along and use this info in a self adjusting portfolio?
