Neovim to Add Telemetry Reporting via Google

Before people go nuts, Aprils Fools.

FFS, enough with the April Fools nonsense already. Back when Slashdot was relevant I used to stop reading it on 1&#x2F;2 April due to the low signal to noise.<p>Please downvote April Fools posts so that we&#x27;re not wasting time reading garbage.

Unfortunately, looks like it got closed. We’ll just have to wait until next year.<p>I do love the little sarcastic nod to “Basic” and “Full” telemetry modes.

Even as an Aprils fool joke, it&#x27;s of incredibly poor taste. User trust is a invaluable asset that projects like Neovim has, and it&#x27;s unwise to drop all of that with deceitful and inflammatory language. Had the author consulted with others before opening this PR?
