The only reason Safari has any marketshare, and any power at at all, is because Apple forbids competing browser engines on iOS. There are currently over a billion active iOS devices in use.<p>I randomly clicked on 15-20 YouTube videos of people outside of tech circles unboxing MacBooks and the first thing they do is install Chrome. All of them. People clearly like Chrome more than Safari and want the real version on iOS/iPadOS but Apple is being anti-competitive by blocking it.
