We are buying a vacation home in Florida while we travel the country for a few years and stay in AirBnb’s while I work remotely. The rest of the time it will be a rented out for short term rentals. It’s going to be our official home and where we stay in the winter.
It’s strictly because it’s a tax free state and warm.
When we decide to settle down, we may move back to our current home - which will also be rented out - or sell and move to Florida permanently.
You're a bit late to the party. People are starting to leave Florida: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/florida-least-affordable-state-...
