What I see here is something that looks good on paper but does not seem very usable. What happens if you squeeze to hard or put to much weight on it? How will this glide on surfaces?
I’ve been using the Evoluent VerticalMouse for a few years now. I am a big fan of vertical mouse form factor. I see that building custom mech keyboard is becoming increasingly popular. Custom key caps, switches, ergo designs and bespoke materials. I wish the mouse would go through this revolution. I could see mouse cases custom fitted to the users hand. Buttons placed to precisely line up with the users finger tips.
I know plastic degrades due to hand oils. So a design I would like to see is a plastic frame with a material like this as an outer shell.

I’ve been looking for a mouse like this for a while. Plastic is an awful material to test your hand on for long periods of time, and I’m sick of throwing them away before the electronics failed just because the plastic started to get gross and discolored. A replaceable leather outer wrap would also be an awesome solution for this. Hope it becomes a reality. I would probably kickstart it.
