Hopefully this guy will never be able to touch library maintenance.
Changes between versions are logged in the ChangeLog btw.<p>Of course it's fine to add dates and git commits to a version, esp. internal developer versions. But semantic versioning is still critical for compatibility. Did it break the API, is the API new or changed, or are there just patches/bugfixes?
