Show HN: LinkWarden – A self-hosted bookmark and archive manager

I&#x27;ve been using Shaarli, <a href="https:&#x2F;&#x2F;github.com&#x2F;shaarli&#x2F;Shaarli" rel="nofollow">https:&#x2F;&#x2F;github.com&#x2F;shaarli&#x2F;Shaarli</a>, for several years. It&#x27;s proved very useful.<p>I like OP&#x27;s idea of automated PDF save.<p>For Android users, one strong point of Shaarli is that there&#x27;s a companion app, <a href="https:&#x2F;&#x2F;github.com&#x2F;dimtion&#x2F;Shaarlier" rel="nofollow">https:&#x2F;&#x2F;github.com&#x2F;dimtion&#x2F;Shaarlier</a>, that allows you to save notes&#x2F;links through the Android share menu.

Thanks quite neat. I use wallabag for this purpose currently.<p>I wonder if there is a way to automatically save an ePub&#x2F;mobi version of this for use with an eReader. I&#x27;d love to have such pages pushed out an eInk tablet, e.g. emailed to a kindle email. That would be a killer feature.

Also shoutout to <a href="https:&#x2F;&#x2F;github.com&#x2F;sissbruecker&#x2F;linkding" rel="nofollow">https:&#x2F;&#x2F;github.com&#x2F;sissbruecker&#x2F;linkding</a> which is a nice self hosted bookmarks service that I&#x27;ve been using over the past one year or so.

Wow, this looks really cool! I really really love the idea of automatically PDFing things when you bookmark them.<p>The UI is also wonderful.<p>I think I would prefer a native app though, just because I&#x27;m quickly losing interest in the whole concept of &quot;Self hosted&quot;, I think Native+SyncThing works better in a lot of cases.

Neat idea, I’ll definitely try this out! Why not use SQLite instead of MongoDB?

Overall thats a neat idea, but I found two small things to criticize: Maybe revisit the responsive design, on my phone everything is all over the place. Also there’s a typo in the setup guide.

I’m looking for a way to share links from my phone to a web app. How would you add that to a system like this?

This is cool. Also, SingleFile would be a very welcome addition.
