The whole post is anecdotal and ending with ..<p>> Maybe quitting will change your life, too.<p>.. is like saying "maybe punching myself in the face will make my nose bleed". This post makes it sound as if the actor's choice to pause acting was the reason for him getting a great role eventually, hence legitimizing quitting. But since nobody knows what would have happened if he wouldn't have paused his acting career, it's a naive assumption to think, that the reason for the the actor's success was thanks to him "quitting" his acting career at one point.<p>In an alternate universe he might have become the president of the USA because he would not have had quit his acting, and eventually landed a job at "The Apprentice".<p>So, no, don't just give up eventually - unless you're in a cul-de-sac. And even then, don't give up; pivot instead!
