6000 - 7000 engineers seems to be a very high churn rate even for such a large company. Although if I had to meet KPI I would probably quickly leave as well.<p>I wonder how many computing power Instagram actually needs for AI recommendations. Seems to be extremely inefficient. I would have thought that video conversion and analysis would take largest chunks. Perhaps the latter is shelved under the AI position.
