The title, while true, is overly obvious.
One of the main themes of the first book of the Bible (Genesis) involves persuasion, so it's safe to say that misinformation isn't going away. The serpent told Eve "God told you that eating this you will die. But you won't die." and then Eve, not wanting to die, but wanting to see if the serpent was telling the truth, persuaded Adam to eat it -- the serpent taught Eve to misinform.
The original sin wasn't eating the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge, but Eve's tricking Adam into eating it. Hence the punishment mostly being put on women (Pain in birth being the main punishment noted in the story).
(Don't shoot the messenger. I'm just pointing out that it is too obvious that misinformation and persuasion aren't going away. Belief in the Bible isn't relevant... the fact that there's an ancient story about misinformation and persuasion being the reason for human downfall is all that I'm bringing up.)
