Pretty much all of those cities are high-cost-of-living. If you have the ability to work fully remote, why wouldn't you pick somewhere significantly cheaper, but had decent schools, good transportation links, and nice weather?
Gosh, how very odd: not one of the cities mentioned lies outside the USA. In reality you could probably do very much better by finding a place outside the US that offer much better quality of life, and where currency arbitrage makes that quality cheap.
