When I have a choice, I always use Gather Town and never use Zoom. You can use GT as you use Zoom, and it has many more features that aren't often useful, but when they <i>are</i> useful, they are indispensable. Add to that the ability to have embedded whiteboards, and an easy way to navigate between different conversation groups, I really don't know why anyone would choose Zoom.<p>Other video chat platforms are available, but for <i>ad hoc</i> 1-1 meetings, or especially for larger gatherings where people want adaptive sub-groups, or "webinar"-type meetings, Gather Town does it for me every time.
