I don't see in this article any discussion of the obvious possibility that it is dementia that causes the sarcopenia and obesity, rather than the other way around. I know anecdotally of cases where, as dementia increased, the willingness to exercise declined, along with the rise of a sweet tooth.<p>Not saying it couldn't work the other way (or both ways), but a longitudinal study that showed which way the causation worked would have been more persuasive.
