I ordered and installed on my own:
First I changed a battery through Apple’s approved lab. Lasted less than 2-2.5 hours.
I talked to CDX via customer support on email channel and they were very kind. They hadn’t been shipping to my country, but they agreed to make an exception.
The battery is slightly better than an OEM ones. OEM batteries are no longer manufactured, the battery technologies has been changed. Now there are different cathodes in use at the factories. OEM battery with an old cathode would have costed you around 500$-600$.
Their battery costed me 100EUR plus shipping and taxes in my country. However, despite the VERY low price it lasts longer than the very initial and old battery as were shipped in my 2014 MacBook from the store. The OEM battery was giving me around 5 hours of watching movies. That one gives half an hour more of movies time, 5:30h or so.
Very recommended. If you’ve got an old MacBook and you love it, save its life and order a CDX High Quality Battery. Pay attention to choose the High Quality one. It’s 15-20EUR more but that’s what makes the difference.
And you can install it on your own.
*Clarification: OEM battery that was giving me 5 hours, was giving me 5 hours at 2014 :-)
