Classic. I've been using similar methods for measurements of transmission delays in the research on different human-controlled variables (though, I've found difference equations more intuitive and easier to represent in code than Laplace transforms). It looks like different controlled variables have different transmission delays, where, eg. the spinal loops are very fast, brainstem-spinal longer, and cortico-spinal even longer, as if the nervous system was split into discrete layers.
