Checkout trader's joe logo on Google

The image links back to a blog&#x2F;article which references Trader Joe&#x27;s.<p>If an algorithm is selecting the &#x27;most appropriate image&#x27; for a search of a Store or Brand, that is worrisome as it will surely be gamed.

On Google News something that drives me crazy is when the thumbnail image next to an article isn&#x27;t actually in the article.

Unrelated but fun fact: There was a Pirate Joes in Vancouver BC that existed solely to resell TJ&#x27;s goods, it was awesome

For those not seeing it not scrolling down, the “Google info” is showing a logo that clearly referenced Biden and says “Traitor Joe”.<p>Either TJs has gone unexpectedly political or Google’s AI is going weird again.

I did not find an English source, but a French energy giant got its google description replaced by a tweet by a left wing politician two weeks ago.<p>It seems it was an algorithm malfunction.<p><a href="https:&#x2F;&#x2F;www.radiofrance.fr&#x2F;franceinter&#x2F;profiteur-de-la-crise-la-description-google-de-totalenergies-modifiee-a-cause-d-un-probleme-d-indexation-2259767" rel="nofollow">https:&#x2F;&#x2F;www.radiofrance.fr&#x2F;franceinter&#x2F;profiteur-de-la-crise...</a>
