I'm using Heroku for my personal website and I have to say I was somewhat disappointed by them a few months ago and was waiting for enough free time to search and move to an alternative.
I used to have automatic deploys from GitHub connection, when one day, without notice, I saw that the deploys fail. Furthermore, no error message apart from a generic 500.
After some research to no avail, I reached out to their support only to discover that they disabled their GitHub integration. I wasn't notified personally by email, as I would have expected from a service for which I'm paying a substantial monthly subscription (7$!) to keep the site up constantly.
Which brings me to the second point of disappointment - the pricing. It's a rather expensive service, just for the site not to 'fall asleep'. I mean, I know of MineCraft server hosts that offer an awake server for way cheaper...
Thanks for saving me time on alternatives research - and Heroku, I like your platform, I just don't love the pricing and the handling of the aforementioned situation.
