PayPal shuts account of parents’ group that campaigned to keep schools open

Given that Flipper [0] encountered the same problems of PayPal seizing $1.3M that they earned without any explanation and are holding it for months, it only tells you why it makes zero sense to keep using PayPal as they WILL do it to anyone for no reason and essentially kill you business or suffocate your non-profit.<p>Before you scream: &quot;PaYpAL iS a pRiVAtE cOmPAny aNd cAn dO THiS&quot;, &quot;iF yOu folLoW tHEiR TOS, iT wOnT hApPen tO yOu&quot;, etc they gave no reason and locked their funds without any explanation and went silent. In the Netherlands, the teachers unions campaigned to keep schools open for kids during Covid. Honorable, IMO.<p>We need a postmortem of the whole Covid event.

Good, since when the schools <i>did</i> reopen, they immediately had to shut again due to massive outbreaks that were directly related to the reopening of schools. God knows how many died or developed chronic illnesses due to schools reopening too early.

As usual, Paypal fucking sucks.<p>Reminder that they have (or had for way too long) Autism Speaks in their charity donation thing, which is a “””charity””” that Actually Tortures Autistic People (or pays for autistic people to be tortured)<p>And no, I’m not exaggerating !
