What an interesting piece of heresy. Of course, everyone knows that the natural state of reality: jobs are created (and destroyed) by these and these folks alone. The truth of it is that (and to deny it is a denial of reality) they must be appeased so we can enjoy their providence.
The sacrifice of one's time today on the altar of work is simply a modern form of temple offering. You may have several modern temples in your town. You may even be in one right now. If you are and reading this, know that you have breached the sacred covenant of devotion. Please get back to work.

When Scott Galloway is jumping on this particular bandwagon I have to wonder what’s in it for him. For starters, introducing him as a professor is disingenuous as best. He has made a career of generating profits from control of and access to information.
That he (and Ray Dalio, and others just outside the “big billionaire” set) have begun to lecture in deliberate ways in this space suggests that we should decide how to respond to them carefully.
They have not historically acted for the selfless betterment of society. It is exceptionally rare for individuals like them to be humbled or change course as more common people do. Is this purely ego expression? Or have they positioned themselves for a wave and are now trying to ‘drag the moon’ by convincing millions to fulfill their prophecies?
