Hey all,<p>We’re excited to release AutoPlot, a tool we built to tackle the question: what if you could do any data analysis by just speaking in natural language?<p>No confusing scripts, Excel macros, or Matplotlib incantations.<p>AutoPlot allows you to explore the limits of next generation human interfaces for visually understanding data.<p>Here's how it works: we've provided a few datasets you can analyze out-of-the-box such as Wine, Hurricanes, and Titanic. Select one of the datasets to see a preview of its contents including its schema. When you are ready to do some visual analysis, simply provide a natural language description of what you want AutoPlot to do.<p>You can also upload your own datasets to try doing custom analysis.<p>As an example, let's say you are looking to analyze the Wine dataset.<p>You could ask AutoPlot:<p>Create a scatter plot with the alcohol content and magnesium content. Color the circles red with the darkness set by the hue column. Add axis labels.<p>There's a whole lot more you can do here, so let your imagination roam free!<p>As this is an experimental platform, expect some rough patches here and there .<p>We look forward to hearing your questions/feedback.<p>Have fun!
