Excitement turns to satisfaction if you allow it.<p>Try tiny, well-defined tasks that are easy wins. Nine out of ten wins for the week feels pretty good.<p>What are tiny tasks for a micro-startup or for any project?<p>Think about processes, and then break them down into bite-size chunks. A process is defined for things like “design a component,”“weekly accounting” or “daily answering emails” or “fixing bugs” or “making sales calls,” etc.<p>You can also think about specific processes that address your KPI’s: number of website hits, number of emails collected, number of new connections made, total sales, etc. Every business or project has a different set of these. Each KPI has one or more processes that drive it. Write down these processes, break them up into pieces, then execute.<p>None of these things sound particularly exciting, but they still have to be done to be successful. The trick is to gain the satisfaction from doing them, and doing them correctly.<p>Get in the habit of planning, executing, and taking time to celebrate your wins.<p>Satisfaction is the goal.
