I think it's more accurate to say, "If X were easy, then everyone would be doing it." Put another way, "What everyone one is doing is the easy stuff, what's left is the hard stuff." As an entrepreneur / start-up, where you are on that hardness spectrum determines your risk v reward.<p>Yes, it's parsing words but the truth is nothing is - is not - supposed to be hard.<p>p.s. As for comedy, that process is very much the MVP \ product market fit process. Rock has an idea or set of ideas. He prototypes them. Eventually he beta tests a set. Finally, a soft launch. Then HBO turns on the cameras and he launches his product.
