I've dabbled with Inform 6 and 7 on and off over the years and I had no idea that the latter produced z-machine games that were slower to run on limited hardware than the former! why is that? I thought that the syntactic differences between the Inform versions was purely on the authorship side, and that the z-machine output was more or less the same?
It starts by describing a 2018 game “Hibernated”, and likens it to Infocom games, but neglects to mention that the description of “Hibernated” is <i>very similar</i> to the classic Infocom game “Suspended” from 1983.
