I once knew an older man who'd been an only child. His mother died when he was ~6 months old, and his father when he was ~16 years old. Having a large family seemed to be his #1 goal in life. When he passed away, he had 6 kids, 9 grandkids, etc., etc.

"holiday", but it's been hilarious as someone who was pretty sure at 19 I didn't want kids seeing how some people can't seem to grok there's a difference between being childfree as in "I don't want to have kids, and I don't want to tolerate yours if they misbehave in public" versus... being evil.)
