Nice graphics is useful for marketing and sales, Crysis is the best example.<p>But otherwise it's obvious that they don't matter once the player actually buys the game and starts playing. Proof: Minecraft, World of Warcraft...

BOTW is proof of this. It’s the best looking game I’ve ever played and it’s no where near super realistic graphics.
