Quite possibly their research takes this into account and it simply went unmentioned in the article, but there's at least a few other possible reasons other than climate change I came up off of the top of my head to explain the reduction in insect population (one of the biggest examples of problems) they cited.<p>> Increased use of pesticides<p>> Genetically modified crops having some effect on the entire animal ecosystem<p>> Water Pollution (whether chemicals or plastics) having some affect<p>> Increased Human development taking away prime animal breeding areas/food sources<p>To be credible to skeptics, I wish these types of articles would try and play a little devil's advocate and refute other possible causes of problems rather than just slamming people continuously over the head with climate change boosterism that isn't persuasive at this point.
