Interested to learn more about the Japan angle in part 2. Twitter Japan has been censoring content for some time so the platform is stunted there. Hopefully the argument is not that Japan will ban Twitter if they don't deploy full-time moderators to paste black bars over everything.<p>At some point, we have to accept that technology or values that we take for granted are just not for every country, and it isn't worth the effort to try and review everything just because a few extra dollars in ad revenue might be found.<p>Japanese censorship is not new. It has existed since the Shogunate so this is not something that was imposed on them, they always had it.
