By good fully work from anywhere companies I mean: Safetywing, Supabase, Convertkit, Automattic, etc.
I am building my academic research around fully distributed teams and also building a job board for such jobs at the same time.
The common issue I see is that most companies that says work from anywhere are not truly work from anywhere, they restrict based on location/timezone. So, it's harder to spot fully worldwide remote companies.
There are dozens of problems when it comes to international hiring/ work from anywhere. So, not all companies can do that. I understand that.
I need your help to identify some best work from anywhere companies for my study. Please let me know if you know any.
The problems on hiring are mostly self imposed. I said mostly because there are some countries you can't trade with very easily. If you're hiring in the USA / Europe your problems are all self imposed.
Everybody insists on hiring employees while they could work with the same people if they worked through their own local company - and it could very well means the "employee" would receive 20-60% extra, due to being more tax efficient.
There are some complications in regards to giving shares but they can be sorted.
There are also third party companies that hire you in a specific country and charge 500-1000$ per month to do payrolls - but I wouldn't recommend: you lose on the tax benefits for the employee, the employee is still not your employee.
