Subject: You've been chosen
Body (in an image): You have been chose to participate in our loyalty program for free...
I've been seeing messages like this constantly make the inbox in Gmail over the last few months (even after reporting at least 3-4 of this exact type of message).
Shouldn't this be a relatively easy catch for the spam filters? Seems like it has a few features that would make it stand out:
- Low reputation domain (tudkkuyfylukf[.]ml)
- Sender name (YETI Backpack-Cooler) the same as previously reported spam messages
- Subject looks like many spam messages (that are caught in the filter)
- No body text in the email
Are these messages doing something particularly smart to evade the filters? What could be going on here?
