Meta goes no politics at work (and nobody cares)

I think what's interesting is from the last paragraph in the post. Other, smaller companies did this several years ago and everybody was up in arms about it. Now, Meta (aka Facebook) does the same thing and no one even noticed. Is that good or bad? I'm guessing it means that these sort of things are becoming commonplace and are no longer news worthy. I guess that's a win overall.

If these kinds of diktats will be common, I assume nothing more contentious than sports teams are legal to discuss. There has to be exceptions in the hr area as medical matters and coverage will or can seem political. Nothing like religion, hunting, … and certainly no discussion of appearance or dress or anything re non professional social interaction as all of these will annoy or hurt coworkers.<p>Companies should publish their newspeak guidelines to simplify dealing with this stuff.
