Fair point, but for what it's worth, you can use a different DNS service even if you leave the domain registration with GoDaddy (or whoever). I have domains registered with GoDaddy, Namecheap, Amazon, Google, etc., but use Amazon Route 53 for all of my DNS (well, I think I finally got around to moving everything. Let's just say that everything <i>important</i> in on Route 53 at least).<p>That said there are plenty of good reasons to move away from GoDaddy. I have a few domains that at still with them just out of inertia (read: laziness) but I'll probably move them eventually. At the very least, it would be nice to consolidate all of my domains in one place.
