There is a big difference between working AT a startup (an employee) and working ON a startup (a founder), IMO. Any chance we can get an update to reflect that?
Anyways, I chose 'Working at a startup', though I'd like to someday work ON a startup (as well as become a student again and finish school).

Unemployed, Freelance, Hacking, and on a break from being a Student.
Don't do much work freelancing, just enough to pay for my essentials, and mainly spend my time hacking and working on my own small projects. My plans are to finish school next year, but that could change — we will see what the next year throws at me. :)

Working (as an employee) at a company that was a startup in 2004. Selected "... but not at a startup" because it's pretty hard to call > 1000 employees and billions in investment a startup anymore :)

Doing consulting and freelance work but leaving that all behind next month to pursue my startup full-time. Crazy times ahead ;-)

Employee working at a startup. I've previously founded two startups and I do agree that being an employee is quite different.

You forgot retired. I guess I'll have to use unemployed and working at a startup as a founder (they're both somewhat true).

in my case, the timeline for "leaving to work on a startup soon" is hopefully within 6 months. or maybe i should just take out a loan?
