My condolences to anyone who worked on this project.
That said...
>The mission had been billed as a major milestone for UK space, marking the birth of a home-grown launch industry. The ambition is to turn the country into a global player - from manufacturing satellites, to building rockets and creating new spaceports.
The only thing the UK provided for this was a runway.
People have this crazy idea that we have magicked into existence an actual industry with skills and employment and revenue and things. We haven't. People need to drop the bullshit before can make any actual progress. Until then this will just be bullshit press releases and self congratulation (which is all it has been so far...). It honestly baffles me that anyone can take any of this seriously. I swear, my whole country has been undergoing a huge group delusion since about 2015...
