This is really amusing to me given that his blog post from October was about how public cloud providers were printing profits on them, even when they weren't using their full capacity.<p>The comparison between Dell discounting servers 80% and SUSE only giving them a 3% discount is amusing to me. Perhaps Dell is giving you such a big discount in order to sell support, maintenance, and network/security services on top of that initial hardware order. Or it's just the fact that you're running VMware on top of it.
