This was a fascinating short interview to watch. Has me thinking a lot about the near future. Essentially, Satya's argument for AI is that it's a powerfully enhancing exoskeleton for our minds, making many of us (and thus society) far more productive. The consequence of that will be that yes, many knowledge worker jobs will be displaced, but that (a) many new ones will be created, and (b) existing ones will become better, more enjoyable, etc. In other words, "Airline pilots were not fully displaced by autopilot. The technology simply made flying much safer, and pilots have an easier time too. Win-win!"
