When programming is gone, will we like what's left?

I'd love to see someone pitch their startup idea to ChatGPT and Copilot with as much specificity as they would to a developer and see how far they'd get. My guess is that the prompt engineering required to make that work and resolve all ambiguities would be more effort than the software engineering to just write the code.

AI can't produced anything new/novel. At least not yet.. It's just remixing, which is legit but still only a subset of the creative activity on the planet. If one is not original, ok fine current AI could possibly replace you but substitution was always a threat for this group
