None of this surprises me and I mostly laugh out loud when any manager or leader waxes poetically about employees not being loyal like the old days but it's still shocking that these companies aren't seeing it.
How much more effort would it have taken to work on internal relocation for these loyal employees?
How much more time would it have taken to have someone reach out to them personally?
What is the net result to the mystical loyalty these execs cry themselves to sleep at night over losing?
So, I'll just continue to laugh when anyone asks me about loyalty and I'll continue to be mercenary as fuck.
Thanks you Millennials and GenZ for waking me up years ago to this one way street.
