The taste of this most recent gen of products was legit, but my enthusiasm waned once I realized it's all just seed oil slop. If meals like this are relegated to guilty pleasure status anyway, you might as well go full guilty and enjoy some real meat.
There's always a cohort left behind the crest of the rising wave, floating on. And in that sense, there will continue to be a market for meat substitutes, just as there was before the hype.
I'm all for the substitute but the manufacturers need to bring down the price and the nutritional value up. My wallet and health should not be worse off because I eat it.
