I've found myself defending TLS saying "if the big banks protects their transactions from EU to US via TLS, surely it may protect our transactions also", but I just realized I'm not sure if this is even true. Using my own knowledge, I'd assume that these transactions probably aren't public at all, that they probably have their own dedicated fiber optic over the atlantic, or something similar. But I'm just guessing.<p>How do large scale fintech big data management work? What are the internal workings of it? For example, let's say Credit Suisse sends their daily ledger (?) to JPMorgan Chase.
