Yawn. EFF is a mouthpiece for the biggest patenters and patent-infringers out there and there is nowhere near an appropriate amount of criticism or reflection here on the role the EFF plays, and launders by its popular positions with regards to privacy and security (which are more often than not hypocritically self-serving considering that the constituents and funders of the EFF are the biggest anti-privacy and anti-security entities in existence). Google infringes patents left and right, patents what it wants and uses them against competitors, and works hand in hand with the DoD to fulfill secret defense contracts to reduce privacy and security, on top of what they do in the advertising space, yet everyone here is in a rush to lap up their entirely self-serving narrative about patent trolls, expressed through the mouth of the EFF.
