This week in KDE: All about the apps

I have been using KDE Neon distro for the past year-ish... it started so stable. But in the past month or two I can barely see a day without seeing plasma crashing multiple times, and leaking memory like crazy (after boot 3GB RAM is used. 3 days later, even if every user process is killed, it&#x27;s over 10GB... it was a while since I saw OOM killer on my desktop, but lately it keeps haunting).<p>Even tried to reinstall the whole system from scratch...<p>I know that &quot;it works for you&quot;. It worked for me too. Just not recently.<p>Whatever... I&#x27;m just yelling at the clouds, don&#x27;t mind me. I know I will get back to KDE after some detour. I always do.

KDE is so great. With all the optionated software with limited options going on: Mac, Gnome, even Windows where you can no longer choose where to put your task bar. KDE is a breath of fresh air with so many customization options.<p>I think it&#x27;s the best desktop environment by far and that includes over Mac and Windows.

Anyone using KDE ?<p>I want to put my &quot;energy consumption&quot; in watts as a widget or a taskbar icon or something.<p>I tried to put it in system monitor new page but there isn&#x27;t any sensor named as such. But energy monitor does say 6 or 10 watts depending on load so the data is being given from somewhere<p>I checked power&gt;battery but that too did not have any such option.

I use KDE Connect on macOS and use Kate.
