I don't care what Henry Kissinger thinks about new technology, especially when it's a boring rehash of mainstream opinion that ironically probably could have been written by gpt.<p>He and Eric Schmidt also wrote an "AI" business book not long ago - it I felt was equally empty of any real insight, just sort of a bland restatement of populist opinion with some largely irrelevant geopolitical considerations thrown in.<p>The opinions of 100 year olds may be more interesting of they can give some kind of ling time-horizon perspective or contrarian scepticism of what we pretend are "new" things. To just have him jump on the same stuff all the crypto-pivots want to sell is not very interesting.<p>I think I'm also a bit jaded from the whole Theranos thing, it makes me feel like he's more just a tech grifter now.
