Reddit has updated their terms of use for their data API. I know this is a popular tool in the machine learning research community, and the new API unfortunately impacts this sort of usage.<p>Here are the new terms: <a href="https://www.redditinc.com/policies/data-api-terms" rel="nofollow">https://www.redditinc.com/policies/data-api-terms</a> . Section 2.4 now specifically calls out machine learning as an unapproved usage unless you get the permission of each individual user. The previous version of this clause read:<p>' You will comply with any requirements or restrictions imposed on usage of User Content by their respective owners, which may include "all rights reserved" notices, Creative Commons licenses or other terms and conditions that may be agreed upon between you and the owners.'
