Hi all!
I take 100+ screenshots in browsers and apps every day, but I haven't found a tool that quickly enables me to rediscover them. So far, I've tried Arc's Easel[1] and SVG Screenshot[2], but they're not perfect.
I'm envisioning a desktop app with a browser extension that allows me to take a screenshot from a browser and search for details such as text, URLs, and scenes within the screenshot. It would also be great if all URLs within the screenshot were clickable.
Do you think interactive screenshots are better than static ones? What are your thoughts on this?
[1]https://twitter.com/cristicrtu/status/1540420330497474560
[2]https://github.com/felixfbecker/svg-screenshots
A long times ago I used Evernote just for screenshots. It can search in text on screenshots in its own way (it is not allowed to extract text from image, only search) but you still can save images on your computer and do OCR to them in other software. Also it can do a beautiful arrows and few other image-editing features. I have not used Evernote for a really long time so check its functionality and limitations before using.
