Hi all, Kinjal Vora here from DronaHQ (https://www.dronahq.com/embed-apps/)
We launched DronaHQ low code tool to give developers an easy way to build mobile and web applications for internal operations at speed. And thanks to the community we have learnt a lot and enhanced the tool to support a wide range of use cases (PDFs, public apps, automations)
Today we are thrilled to share one of our latest editions: Secure Embed. In summer of 2022 at ProductCon, SF - we could speak to several of our customers and other product managers. could hear at least 3 common things:
Build custom features for a select few customers as PoC features that can enable them to win the customer buy the whole suite
Build custom dashboards
Build custom user onboarding flows for multiple set of their customers
All of the above cases are in a way ripe for low code as it helps product managers build them at war footing and also help them win their customers + cater to product customization needs without hurting their engineering main branch.
However to enable this - an interface would need to be thought about so output from DronaHQ low code could easily fit into the customer product ecosystem. This is what our engineering guys were tasked with and today we are excited to unveil secured EMBED as a feature.
The new capability lets you build and deploy your DronaHQ apps as embeddable micro apps built 10x faster. Imagine building forms, dashboards, widgets, or custom features into your existing internal or external products, say your customer portals or employee portals, websites, and so on.
For us, speed has always been important. To keep up with changing guidelines you need to capture additional details from your banking customers or you want to add a new real-time dashboard to customer portals or add calculators as a lead magnet to your websites - we want you to be able to build and embed such custom features into your products in no time.
The idea behind secure embed is that, you can pass SSO tokens into the embed app code before passing it into the iframe of your product, so the app and the data remains secure behind a login wall. SSO embedding takes private embedding one step further. SSO embedding doesn't require users to authenticate again via an user account. Instead, they can be authenticated through your own application via the URL in an iframe.
This new option enables business users who do not have advanced coding skills to easily and securely embed reports, widgets, apps, dashboards in internal web portals, whether cloud-based or hosted on-premises.
