My employer (a university) runs MS Office365 which I abhor to be honest. I much prefer gsuite especially for email, I find it much easier and faster to organize and especially search.
I can of course fwd my office365 email to gmail but there seems to be no way to config things to send from gmail “as” my office365 address.
Help? Advice?
edit: this on my uni's IT site:

Gmail does not support modern authentication and therefore is not compliant with MFA. While you can still forward your office 365 inbox to Gmail and configure so that messages ‘reply to’ a university email account, it cannot send from the university email account as that requires MFA.

check with your university before forwarding all mail to gmail. you may use it like a mail client, but the university may not view that as an acceptable reason to mass-export emails to a third party.
an actual mail application for your devices may provide a similar feel to gmail without all the other issues.
