Personal knowledge management tools such as Roam, Obsidian, and Notion started gaining traction a few years ago.
Now that the hype has passed, I'm contemplating whether it is worth investing my time in documenting my knowledge using these tools instead of relying on the Evernote app or pen and paper, which I lose/forget too often.
I'm genuinely curious if any users on Hacker News have consistently documented their knowledge and found value in doing so after using these tools for a few years?
I find obsidian handy. I wish I could easily (privately) sync iPhone to MacBook ai have one set of notes but it’ll involve git and my nas which I don’t have time or patience for. You can always pay obsidian and go via their servers if you don’t care for privacy.
