The most important medical use of AI at this time is 'cost coding' - we need a great equalizer in medical expenses, for example I had to have an ambulance ride one and it was like 1 mile to the nearest hospital, but they drove me to a much farther hospital, and then billed me $6,000 for the ride.<p>As someone who has designed hospitals (yes I actually designed/built 11 hospitals) I got to see behind the kimono and its fraud all the way down.<p>My brother is one of the top physicians in the nation (personal flight surgeon to the Joint Chiefs at the DoD) and I am from a long line of medical professionals... the costs for a service are insane... coding is a real problem, and I have inputs and info that many dont have... and so my lens is tinted as such.
