hey -- one of the builders here. good teachers are often dismissive of AI because they don't implement any sort of sound teaching practice. we set out to build something that would be a really good teacher, and that manifested in trying to elicit sound pedagogical reasoning.<p>what's crazy is that we were able to do this with prompting alone. it satisfied a high school teacher and an elite private tutor's standards for what good teaching looked like.<p>we're open-sourcing the framework in hopes the community can extend it and build upon the ideas of eliciting specific types of reasoning from these pretrained models. the theory of mind capabilities with these models is incredible and has actually informed our new direction (which you can read about in the blog post).<p>thanks!
