Well written article. Not funny at all.<p>The biggest benefit of EVs is clearly on urban air pollution. The Prius brought us high MPGs, also a huge benefit. EVs are a result of “if a little is good, more is better” decisionmaking, and all the green credentials got conflated. A sad example of what John Kerry called “trivialized decisiveness”.

I don&#x27;t want an electric Suv - I need an electric Carver for £5,000 and a car share of something larger and more luxurious for less frequent long trips.

Not much thought given to tail pipe pollution in dense urban areas, it’s like he’s never had to commute to some of London’s red zones.
